Oil on panel. The Allagash, as my Maine friends will know, is a series of rivers and streams that ribbon through Northern ME. I'm a practically translucent skinned person, so my veins are really visible. I had been thinking about how the places we're from become a part of us, of our outlook, and our sense of self. Here my veins are meant to reference the water coursing through the Northern region of my home state.
